Canoeist wins second World Cup race

Pointe Claire's Thomas Hall captured a gold medal on Saturday
at a World Cup canoe race in Poznan, Poland.

Hall won the 1,000-metre men's canoe singles event in a time of
3:56.02 for his second World Cup victory this season.

In the men's canoe singles 500-metre race held Sunday, Hall
finished fourth in 1:50.14.

Next month, Hall will represent Canada at the Olympic Games in
Beijing, China.
