Top female hockey players vie for spots

Lauriane Rougeau and Camille Dumais, both of Beaconsfield, have been invited to Hockey Canada’s women’s under-22 selection camp at York University in Toronto from Aug. 10-17.
Rougeau plays CEGEP hockey for Collège St. Jerôme, while Dumais skates for the Dawson College Blues.
Among the other 40 camp invitees is McGill University’s Catherine Ward, an All-Canadian rearguard from Town of Mount Royal.
Amy Doyle, an assistant coach with the Martlets, will serve as a video coach with the U-22 program.
Hockey Canada will select 22 players from camp to play in a three-game series against the American U-22 squad next month in Pierrefonds.
