 <title>Heartworm season again!</title>

Dogs are susceptible to the parasite known as heartworm. &lt;strong&gt;Dirofilaria immitis&lt;/strong&gt;, can cause serious problems with your dog&#039;s health, including death. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Your dog&#039;s risk of picking up heartworm really depends on exposure to mosquitoes. The best way to protect your dog for heartworm is prevention. Several drugs that prevent heartworm infection are available. The drugs kill the immature form of the heartworm before it reaches the heart.&lt;/p&gt;
