The Vaudreuil-Hudson commuter-train line was dogged with difficulties Friday morning, inbound to downtown.
The delays were triggered by an apparent locomotive breakdown in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue.
The equipment trouble triggered cancellations that included the 7:50 a.m. stop at the Beaurepaire station, along with another train 20 minutes earlier.
“We are packed to the rafters,” Sherry Hattem, one frustrated commuter who was stranded on the line, texted.
The Agence métropolitaine de transport’s advised users to forget about the train line, instead advising them to “use local transit,” bus service.
“We regret any inconvenience,” the advisory added.
